Touch button receives safety upgrades

Rockwell Automation has announced several performance enhancements to its general purpose and heavy industrial Allen Bradley 800Z Zero-Force touchbutton family. The 800Z Series B line includes new technology designed to increase operator safety and reliability, while expanding product functionality to suit a wider range of applications. The product carries Category 3 Type IIIB and Category 4 Type IIIC safety ratings for two-hand control applications. The enhancements include: an inter-linked sensor surface that weaves two capacitive sensors in offset planes, increasing control reliability and allowing users to operate the buttons while wearing thick gloves; a fault-detection feature that alerts the operator of a potentially dangerous condition; and a combination of pattern-recognition and noise-sensing algorithms to distinguish between a true input stimulus and disruptive noise, to help ensure the product will not operate unintentionally.

Hornell’s The Complete Catalog features the Speedglas range of auto-darkening welding lenses and helmets, including the 9000 series of breathable, carbon-dioxide-reducing helmets and SideWindows peripheral-vision helmets. This hearing protection device has a FlexiFirm core designed to ensure easy insertion into the ear canal and all-day fit.
