The mobile damage diagnosis instrument FAG Detector II from FAG Industrial Services is offered in conjunction with Maximo, the computerized maintenance management system from MRO Software. Equipped with the condition monitoring software Trendline, this instrument represents a hand-held vibration measuring device and data collector rolled into one. Within the scope of this off-line monitoring of production plants, characteristic values for vibration acceleration and velocity are specified and stored at individually determined measuring points. The analysis of these data helps detect bearing damage at an early stage and helps to plan maintenance work well ahead. In this way, unscheduled downtime and expensive follow-up costs can be avoided.
