LIQUID WRENCH® Team Takes the Checkered Flag in TORC Season Finale

September 8, 2015 | By Business Wire News

CHARLOTTE, N.C.

The Arie Luyendyk Racing LIQUID WRENCH® team scored its first victory of the season on the series’ biggest stage. Driver Cam Reimers took off from pole position and never looked back, capturing the “Keys to the Big House” in the TORC season finale at Crandon International Raceway on September 6th. The victory was a first in many categories: first TORC series win for Reimers, first team win for Arie Luyendyk Racing and first win for team and series sponsor RSC Chemical Solutions® represented on Reimers’ #21 Pro-Light truck by primary sponsor LIQUID WRENCH® and associate sponsors GUNK®, MOTOR MEDIC® and TITESEAL®.

In speaking about what the win means to him, Reimers’ first thoughts were of his sponsors. “What’s very cool about this win is that it wasn’t only my first victory in short course off-road as a driver, but it was almost all of my sponsors first victory in this sport as well. Nothing is a given in racing and this team has put their heart and soul into getting a victory in 2015; it’s just unbelievable that it came on the biggest stage in off-road at the World Championships. I am still at a loss for words,” said Reimers.

Team owner and GUNK® Pro-2 driver Arie Luyendyk, Jr. reflected on the season and Reimers’ win, “What a season. Our team definitely grew in 2015 with the help of our great partners. We knew going in that it would be a trying season with the current truck we had in PRO 2, but I’m happy we were able to bring on a competitive Pro Light program for our partner LIQUID WRENCH®. Crandon was a huge leap forward for Cam and it’s great to share the victory with the team.”

“Cam said going into the weekend that nothing less than a win was acceptable and he delivered,” said Marshal Livingstone, Director of Marketing at RSC Chemical Solutions. “All of us at RSC are proud of our LIQUID WRENCH® and GUNK® teams and the fight they’ve put into this whole season. It’s great to be able to end the season on such a high note.”

Reimers finished the season fifth overall in the TORC Pro-Light class and Luyendyk finished sixth in Pro-2.
