April 10, 2015 | By Business Wire News

TORONTO

Today, for the fifth consecutive year, Kiewit, one of North America’s largest and most respected construction, mining and engineering organizations, is being recognized as one of this year’s Best Workplaces in Canada. The list, compiled by Great Place to Work Institute Canada®, will appear in a special national report in today’s The Globe and Mail.

“This is, most importantly, recognition of our people and their efforts to make Kiewit a place we can all be proud to work,” said Bruce Grewcock, chairman and CEO of parent company, Kiewit Corporation. “We are honored to be recognized alongside other top Canadian companies. This confirms that not only is Kiewit one of the best companies to work for in our industry, but across all industries in Canada.”

The Best Workplaces in Canada list provides insight relative to the five trust-building dimensions of a great place to work®: credibility, respect, fairness, pride and camaraderie. This year’s list received over 300 nominations and over 60,000 employees participated in the 2015 “Best Workplaces in Canada” survey.

“For more than 130 years, including more than 60 years in Canada, Kiewit has known that a successful business is built by extraordinary employees,” said Michael Geary, vice president of Human Resources for Kiewit Corporation. “Kiewit’s foundation is based on providing employees the greatest opportunities to grow and thrive. Our commitment to and significant investments in training, leadership development, and personal health and wellness are returned tenfold by how much Kiewit employees then invest in the company’s success. That is what our culture is all about — and why people build their careers at Kiewit.”
