Ahalogy, the performance content marketing solution for enterprise, is adding a top entrepreneur and technologist to the company’s board to tap into her diverse experience guiding multiple startups to success.

Vasanthi Chandra, founder of RewardsPay and chair of Harvard Business School Association of Northern California IOT Investment Forum, was appointed to add a balanced, fresh perspective to the company’s board.

“Having led engineering, product, marketing, and P&L growth at startups and Fortune 100 companies, Vasanthi Chandra can help us take Ahalogy to the next level,” says Bob Gilbreath, CEO and cofounder of Ahalogy. “We wanted someone who could give us solid, independent advice as our company evolves and grows. With her track record in scaling startups and bringing innovative products to market, Vasanthi was a natural fit for this role.”

Ahalogy’s board is comprised of cofounders Bob Gilbreath and Michael Wohlschlaeger, along with investors Tim Kopp (Hyde Park Ventures) and Brent Hill (Origin Ventures). As the board began its search for the new member in late 2015, they enlisted the help of theBoardlist, a curated talent marketplace to recommend, discover, and connect highly qualified women across industries with tech board opportunities.

“We share their vision of getting tech company boards to think of gender diversity as a way to drive business performance,” says Gilbreath. “Several finalists in our search came through theBoardlist.” Ultimately, he happened to meet Chandra at an industry event, which eventually led to her interest in Ahalogy’s open board seat.

“Having maneuvered many tech evolutions in the industry, I’m passionate about helping entrepreneurs navigate the inflection points they encounter as the industry changes and matures,” says Chandra, who began her career at Apple in the 1990s. She was drawn to Ahalogy’s client roster of big brands and focus on the visual web. “Pinterest has a powerful combination of technology and curated content that can ultimately result in social commerce. Ahalogy has not only delivered ROI to its brand customers through Pinterest, but it also provides a great platform that can help marketers ‘reach’ and ‘listen’ to customers in any social network,” she says.

In her new role, Chandra will serve as a sounding board for the CEO and represent Ahalogy among her circles in Silicon Valley and beyond.
