“This agreement ensures the continuation of the work we have performed with Shandong Airlines for more than a decade — an exceptional relationship we are delighted to continue,” said Mark Jarmus, product support manager at FADEC International. “Our team’s mission is to deliver an unequalled customer experience, and the validation of that performance is achieved when a leading airline such as Shandong signs on to work with us again.”

The FADEC solution is a redundant computer system that reduces pilot workload and increases efficiencies by electronically monitoring and adjusting aircraft engines for proper and smooth operation. The FADEC controls all aspects of engine performance, such as fuel flow, variable engine geometries, and overspeed protection, as well as interfacing with the engine thrust reverser.

Shandong Airlines is a China-based carrier that operates mainly domestic routes from Jinan, Qingdao, and Yantai to major cities in China. The service and support for Shandong’s fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft will be performed at BAE Systems’ Ft. Wayne, Indiana site and Sagem’s facility in France.
