The new Toolflex bellow style servo coupling, manufactured by KTR Kupplungstechnik GmbH, is a torsionally stiff, zero-backlash coupling ideally suited to applications where a high level of stiffness is required. The bellow is secured to the machined aluminum hubs by means of a brass ring, creating a non-slip connection and uniform torque transmission between the bellow and hub in all directions. The hubs feature ‘double-slit cross clamping’ that eliminates deformation of the bellow during tightening. Metric and imperial bores are available with or without keyways. Application examples include machine tools, linear actuators, indexing tables and low-ratio planetary gearboxes.
