More than 124,220 industry professionals from around the world attended ConExpo-Con/Agg 2005 and the co-located IFPE 2005 trade expositions in Las Vegas during its five-day run March 15-19 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

The shows featured the latest equipment, product innovations and technological advances of the construction, construction materials, industrial power transmission and fluid power industries.

The shows spanned a record-breaking amount of exhibit space — ConExpo-Con/Agg with more than 1.88 million net sq ft of exhibit space (174,730 net sq m) taken by 1,968 exhibiting companies, and IFPE with 111,670 net sq ft (10,374 net sq m) used by 440 exhibitors. That translated into a combined figure of more than 45 acres (18.5 ha) — equivalent to more than 41 football fields or 29 soccer fields.

International attendance was at a record high — more than 21,220 — which is 17% of total attendance figures. International visitors to the shows hailed from more than 130 non-U.S. countries.

The following companies participated in PTDA’s sold-out pavilion: Optibelt, Bishop-Wisecarver, Duff-Norton, Drives Inc., Maxi Lift, Omni Gear, Klozure Oil Seals (Garlock), DSI/Dynamatic, Peer, Gates, NSW Bearing, RBI Bearing, Lovejoy, Dichtomatik, Viking Chains, Nexen, American Metric and Oiles.

As well, the following PTDA members were located in other parts of the IFPE show: Regal Beloit, NSK Corp., Rino Mechanical, USBK Bearing, Rexnord and G&G Manufacturing.MRO
