A feature on the Discovery Channel show, “How It’s Made,” which aired in December 2002, featured ball bearings being made at NTN Bearing Corporation Canada’s bearing manufacturing facilities in Mississauga, Ont.

NTN recently arranged to post the video on its own website, www.ntn.ca. You can view the 5-minute, 22-second film using Windows MediaPlayer by pasting this link into the address window of your browser, www.ntn.ca/howitsmade.wmv.

The video will run directly from the company’s website if you have Media Player installed on your system. It works best if you have a high-speed Internet connection.

The program features the production of a 6305 single-row ball bearing from start to finish, and includes a segment showing how the balls are made.
