Asset Management Principles and Strategic Development by PEMAC

Municipal practitioners from across Canada are invited to join delivery of Course One of PEMAC’s Asset Management Professional (AMP) education and certification program that starts this month.

Made possible by a grant through the Municipal Asset Management Program (MAMP), which is delivered by the Federation of Canadian Municipalities and funded by the Government of Canada,

Course One: Asset Management Principles and Strategic Development is available to municipal practitioners live online over five full days, at a discounted tuition.

The course, that is delivered by Northern Lakes College, provides an overview of the essentials of Asset Management in the context of ISO 5500x and the GFMAM Landscape, enabling participants to realize value by applying asset management concepts in their municipality.

The full AMP program is comprised of six courses and introduces participants to the latest in strategic asset management thinking, builds knowledge in key subject areas such as risk management, knowledge management (enterprise database systems) and introduces tools for strategic decision making at each stage of the asset lifecycle.

Participants in the municipal offering of Course One will earn full credit that they can use to continue in the other five courses of the AMP program in the public offering at Northern Lakes College. Completion of all six courses of the Asset Management Professional certificate program is one way to achieve the “CAMP” certification from PEMAC.
