RotoPrecison Inc. of Mississauga, Ont., is now the exclusive Canadian distributor for Motovario’s speed reducer product line. The range includes aluminum-housed worm gearboxes, in-line helical reducers, helical-bevel reducers and mechanical speed variators.

Technicor Industrial Services Inc. of Orangeville, Ont., recently expanded its capabilities with the addition of new equipment. It also obtained registration for the ISO 9001:2000 standard. The company now has the full capability of a precision CNC machine shop for engineered plastics. Some recent jobs have included plastic chain guides for high-speed packaging machines and a suction box cover for paper machines.

TechniCAL Systems 2002 Inc. of Hamilton, Ont., has become the Canadian master distributor for Martel Electronics Corp., a supplier of calibrators, bench instruments, process indicators, power supplies, meters, displays, and test and measurement instruments.

Rockwell Automation has signed a five-year, US$4.5 million contract with Air Liquide America LP to provide condition-based monitoring equipment and services to help reduce maintenance costs and improve uptime at its gas production facilities in the U.S.

Morris Material Handling has been awarded a contract for inspections and preventive maintenance for almost 90 overhead and jib cranes at the Cedar Rapids, Iowa, plant of PMX Industries, a copper processor. What clinched the order was that one evening, PMX called its local Morris aftermarket sales rep about a critical breakdown. There were no Morris technicians in the immediate area, so the sales rep, a one-time service technician, went in at 8 p.m. and worked on the crane himself, getting it running by 2:30 a.m.MRO
