Two Bit Circus’ STEAM Carnival Comes to San Francisco – Announces Dates

April 30, 2015 | By Business Wire News

LOS ANGELES

Two Bit Circus, an experiential entertainment company, today announced the San Francisco STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) Carnival will be held at Pier 48 at AT&T Park in San Francisco Friday, Saturday & Sunday, November 6-8, 2015, and is being sponsored by Cartoon Network.

“We have new games, new spectacles, and more lasers and fire than we know what to do with,” says Brent Bushnell, CEO and co-founder of Two Bit Circus. “STEAM represents creativity at its best. It’s a transformative platform for the way we think and live, and we can’t wait to bring this fun-for-all carnival to the tech-savvy and hands-on community of San Francisco and the entire Bay Area.”

STEAM Carnival consists of high-tech games, interactive installations, dynamic build zones, round the clock stage shows, lab demos, aerialists, artists, food, and more. The inaugural debut in Los Angeles saw over 13,000 attendees, impacted more than 2,800 students and educators, and reached 21 million people worldwide.

The goal of the event is to inspire more creative thinkers, and doers, through playful, meaningful, immersive experiences. Its focus is on STEAM rather than STEM to emphasize the importance of art, highlighting its contribution to invention and innovation. STEAM Carnival champions the mindset that these multiple disciplines are seamlessly integrated into how people live, work, and play today.

Bringing the perfect blend of originality and playfulness to this entertainment mix is Title Sponsor Cartoon Network.

“At Cartoon Network, we believe that some of the most creative things happen at the intersection of art and technology,” said Christina Miller, President and General Manager, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Boomerang. “And our audience, as mobile natives, are surrounded by new platforms every day. Our aim is to help bring the combination of creativity and innovation to life for kids and families, with everything we do, so we are very happy to be a part of this year’s STEAM Carnival.”

The event kicks off Friday, November 6, 2015, with special programming during the day in partnership with the 5th annual Bay Area Science Festival, followed by a VIP Preview Party that evening. Community leaders, tastemakers, and top innovators will gather together under one roof to celebrate STEAM and get a sneak peek of the carnival before the weekend showcase.
