Over the last three decades, Mike built a successful career steeped in research and the practice of design and software development using agile tools and methods. Mike spent half of his career with Forrester Research, Inc., where he held roles as VP and Research Director. During his tenure, Mike led a team of analysts focused on improving software delivery and architecture by blending design and technology innovation. He contributed to research on application development and integration, service-oriented architecture, middleware and software innovation.

“Mike’s unique background as a developer, strategist and researcher gives him a keen ability to identify technology that will support our growing business and deliver break-through customer experiences,” said Siteworx President and CEO, Ken Quaglio. “He understands how design impacts functionality and performance and can assess how various technologies fit together to support the company vision.”

After leaving Forrester, Mike became the Chief Customer Officer at DigitalML. In this role, he shaped the technology vision and product implementation that enhanced the integration and delivery of omni-channel experiences, core system replacement and eCommerce/store integration for the likes of Capital One, T-Mobile and Walmart. He also worked with clients to improve customer experience through effective design and use of application programming interfaces built on robust analytics and data.

“Siteworx is on a high growth path in market sectors with tremendous potential. The technology investments we make now are critical to our future success and ability to bring innovative solutions to our clients,” said Siteworx CTO, Mike Gilpin. “I look forward to innovating via the company’s technology strategy and continuing its forward momentum.”

Earlier in his career, Mike held executive positions in the development tools business. He oversaw product management and engineering at Intersolv and led the Software Group at LBMS. Mike started his career in IT, working as a project manager, systems analyst, database analyst and programmer. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Physics from Rice University.

Mike’s announcement follows closely behind the addition of Lisa Brown as new CFO, Greg Johnston as Executive Creative Director and Liz Duggan, eCommerce Director. The company continues to add key senior hires as it expands its capabilities and services, especially in manufacturing and eCommerce.
