Reveille Software Expands Portfolio of US Patents; Delivers Unprecedented Insight into ECM Business Transactions

October 20, 2015 | By Business Wire News

ATLANTA

Reveille Software has expanded its portfolio of patents by revolutionizing the systems and methods of identifying business transactions from the traffic in enterprise content management (ECM) applications. This is the second patent from the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office awarded to Reveille, the leading global provider of ECM application management and monitoring solutions, in less than a year.

“Today’s data-driven organizations have complex infrastructures that manage vast amounts of structured, semi-structured and unstructured data feeding ECM repositories,” said Brian DeWyer, CTO of Reveille Software. “To ensure availability and performance in accordance with service level agreements, Reveille RealTime optimizes ECM applications and provides visibility into user adoption and usage.”

Reveille RealTime delivers real-time visibility into the performance of individual user transactions – including actions such as log in, check out document, and more – putting ECM business context on those transactions. It is an add-on module to Reveille Experience and Performance Manager (EPM), which manages ECM application platforms such as EMC® Documentum®, EMC Captiva®, IBM® FileNet® P8 and Kofax.

“With users, local and virtual, expecting immediate access to all critical content, managing the application’s performance in real-time is crucial to promoting ECM adoption and preventing loss of productivity,” said Robert Estes, CEO of Reveille Software.

Reveille delivers end-to-end visibility into the response times of individual EMC® Documentum Foundation Classes (DFC) and Microsoft® SQL Server® transactions. In mid-October, Reveille released Reveille 7.6, which included support for FileNet P8 Content Engine and Content Platform message flow and performance along with Oracle database messages support.

“Reveille’s continued investment in research and development is a driving force behind our strategic partnerships with leading ECM providers and consultants,” continued Estes. “Working together, we ensure organizations are equipped to meet the stringent compliance and user performance requirements inherent within their tier 1 ECM applications.”

Nearly 400 organizations from highly regulated industries – including healthcare, government, financial services, insurance, and oil and gas – benefit from pre-configured, purpose-built management solutions for repository and capture applications. All four of Reveille’s solutions for EMC® – Reveille for Documentum, Reveille for Captiva, Reveille for InfoArchive and Reveille for Document Sciences xPression – are EMC Certified Solutions. Reveille also provides management and monitoring solutions forIBM® Content Manager, IBM FileNet P8, IBM Datacap, Lexmark International, Inc., Kofax, and Microsoft® SharePoint®.

The U.S. patent, No. 9,166,991, for “Identifying Business Transactions from Traffic in an Enterprise Content Management System,” covers the systems and methods for identifying business transactions from traffic in an enterprise content management system. The system intercepts HTTP messages that originate from or are destined for a server in an ECM system; receives notifications related to lifecycle events in the ECM system; and correlates information in the HTTP messages and notifications to identify a corresponding business transaction performed by the ECM system.
