National Expansion Continues As Eric Weisblatt Joins IP Practice, Fourth Partner To Join Firm in Recent Weeks

Eric H. Weisblatt has joined Hunton & Williams LLP as a partner in its intellectual property group in Washington. For the past 30 years, Weisblatt has focused his global practice on patent infringement litigation, including pharmaceutical patent litigation matters under the Hatch-Waxman Act and ANDA litigation, for U.S. and European companies. He is the fourth partner to join the firm in recent weeks, following environmental partners Chuck Knauss and Shannon Broome and REIT partner Rob Smith.

“Eric’s most recent work includes defending several pharmaceutical companies involved in patent infringement litigation,” said Maya M. Eckstein, who leads the firm’s intellectual property practice group and 3D printing group. “His technical background spans life sciences patent prosecution and matters involving ANDA litigation, which deepens our capabilities and further strengthens our IP practice capabilities in the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries. Weisblatt received an undergraduate degree in chemistry from The Johns Hopkins University and law degree from Boston College Law School. He is a founding master of the Pauline Newman IP Inn of Court in Alexandria, Va.
