JDA Software Appoints Former SAP Executive Cindy Howton to Drive Global Consulting Services

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.

JDA Software Group, Inc., the world’s leading supply chain and retail solutions provider, today announced that Cindy Howton has been appointed executive vice president (EVP), global consulting services. In this role, Howton will lead and manage a team of expert consultants worldwide who help customers maximize their supply chain investments by successfully designing, launching and implementing JDA software within their organizations.

“Cindy Howton has successfully led a number of professional services and information technology organizations within large multinational software and services companies. She is a proven leader with a strong track record for driving revenue and results, building strong teams and delivering high levels of customer satisfaction,” said JDA’s chairman and chief executive officer Baljit Dail. “We are delighted to have such a dynamic consulting leader on board to help us grow JDA’s consulting services business.”

Most recently, Howton was senior vice president for SAP’s North America Consulting Delivery organization. In this role, she was responsible for a $1.1 billion business, managing the work of 1800 consultants across all industries and the public sector. She led large-scale customer transformation projects and helped drive high-margin, innovative and strategic services in such areas as cloud advisory, analytics and big data, mobility and omni-channel commerce.

Prior to joining SAP, Howton was a managing partner with SunGard Consulting Services, a $5.6 billion business application software provider. There, she led the Wealth Management consulting practice, responsible for new business development and client delivery for front, middle, and back office processes and technology improvements in large organizations.

Howton also spent 11 years at KPMG, where she was a managing partner and 12 years with Pennzoil Company, including serving as the chief information officer for the Pennzoil Company’s Exploration and Production Company (now owned by Devon Energy).
