Leaders from the Michigan bio-industry, academia, and policy realms are joining to discuss how to best unleash Michigan’s biosciences R&D and manufacturing potential and drive future business growth at MichBio’s inaugural Michigan Bio-Industry Growth Summit at the Radisson Lansing at the Capitol on Wednesday, February 3rd, 2016.
MichBio, the association for Michigan’s biosciences industry, will release and discuss the Michigan Bio-Industry Strategic Roadmap. The Roadmap is the culmination of a year-long strategic planning initiative focusing on how to grow Michigan’s biosciences industry into a market leader. Over two hundred stakeholders participated in the grass-roots data gathering effort. The initiative is being conducted in partnership with the Business Leaders for Michigan (BLM) and the University Research Corridor (URC).
“Michigan’s bio-industry is at a critical point given the rapidly changing dynamics in the healthcare delivery marketplace, regulatory landscape, and global economy,” remarked Stephen Rapundalo, MichBio President and CEO. “For the state’s bioscience research, development, and manufacturing enterprise to have future success, a shared and executable vision with performance measures is required.”
