The concept for One Man Outerwear came about when Todd Listwin, CEO of Mia Melon and One Man Outerwear, noticed that there were not many options for men when it came to fashionable, yet functional outerwear. One Man Outerwear’s goal is to offer men clothing options that are functional in any element all while maintaining a sleek, stylish look.

“It’s hard to find an affordable, fashionable coat for men that doesn’t look like you should be camping or snowboarding. The men’s coats I saw were largely branded or made from a less-than-stylish fabric.” says Listwin. “We want to change that with One Man Outerwear. Functionality shouldn’t get in the way of looking good, which is why we dedicated so much time, effort and research into our product.”

From removable hood features to street-inspired cargo pockets, One Man Outerwear, fuses together functionality and fashion. The collection includes three coats, named the Wanderer, Stratus and Provider. Each coat comes in a variety of different colors such as charcoal, black, olive, taupe and army green and sizes range from S to XXL and run pretty true to size.

In addition, the outside of each jacket showcases a stylish water repellant shell material, lined with a cozy micro fleece to provide extra warmth and comfort. In between these two layers is a waterproof and windproof poly membrane that functions similar to skin and keeps 99.9% of water out. A heat process treatment, known as DWR, is then applied to each jacket, which allows any moisture to bead off, leaving the wearer completely dry.

Jacket technical specs include:

— 3k/3k waterproof, windproof membrane inside the two fabric layers. This special membrane allows the wind and water to stay out but allows the body to still breathe. — Each jacket is 99.9% waterproof. — The inside fabrics are lined with a cozy 220 gram micro fleece that keeps users warm and comfortable. — The outside fabric is a fashion-forward fabric that has been treated with a DWR treatment. This heat treatment allows the water to bead off. — Everything is designed, developed, and tested in the ideal rainy weather climates in Portland and Vancouver.
