Envirosight has announced enhancements to its QuickView zoom inspection camera for evaluating pipelines, manholes and tanks. The camera now measures the distance to in-focus targets and displays the reading on screen, in either standard or metric units. The targeting fixture, which comprises a height-adjustable, spring-dampened leg with a spherical foot, helps maintain stability and a centreline view, essential for inspecting and measuring distance to far-away targets. The leg has gradations that correspond to common pipe diameters. Also available is an optional carbon-fibre pole, whose rigidity and lightweight design make inspecting easier and more accurate. It comes in three lengths, the longest of which barely flexes at full extension, virtually eliminating camera wobble and deflection.
