Joyce has expanded its control offerings to include a programmable controller. The variable-speed positioning system (VSPS) allows the operator to easily program up to 10 stopping locations, increasing the capabilities of motorized jacks. The VSPS includes a two-line HMI display with tactile-feel pushbuttons to control all aspects of system operation and programming. The display read-out indicates the current position and preset stopping locations. An enclosure-mounted speed-control dial allows real-time speed control of the motorized jacks. A control pendant four-pin connector is standard, and the company also offers a two-button pendant for controlling the system away from the control box. The device is designed to operate motors between 1/3 hp and 3 hp, and between 200-V and 460-V three-phase power.
