Seal withstands low temperatures

Designed for applications where axial loading is an issue, the CapBac seal from Dichtomatik is a polyurethane U-cup loaded with a nitrile Buna rubber cap. This seal is suitable for use in telescopic cylinders and often replaces vee-packing. It can be used in low-temperature applications, as low as -40C, and helps to eliminate leaks at startup. The elastomeric lip provides a squeeze-type positive seal at low pressure, and the lip of the tough polyurethane shell energizes as pressures elevate. Available sizes are 1/4 in. and 5/16 in.
