Le Salon Industriel de Qubec, held at the Qubec Exhibition Centre in Qubec City, Oct 7-9, 2008, featured an exhibition area of 11,600 square metres. Aimed at business owners and buyers of industrial equipment in Quebec, the event took place as the province of Qubec celebrated its 400th anniversary this year.

The biennial tradeshow serves Qubec City, Qubec’s second most important economic centre. Qubec City has seen remarkable development in its economy, particularly in the fields of culture, tourism, high technology and information technology. A political capital, the city is the cradle of government activity in the province and boasts a dynamic environment of cooperation between government and business that contributes to the success of large-scale projects.

Located on the St. Lawrence River, the city offers modern transportation infrastructures linked seamlessly together, including a deepwater port open year round, an international airport less than 20 km from downtown, an efficient highway system, and a rail network integrated with all of Canada and the United States.
