Metal belts from Belt Technologies are used in a variety of applications as friction drives, specialized conveyors, transporters and positioning systems. They feature a high strength-to-weight ratio, an advantage in applications where high strength and/or light weight are required. These durable belts can withstand sustained exposure to extremes of temperature, hostile environments and vacuum. Unlike the links of a chain, a metal belt requires no lubrication, which reduces system maintenance, improves reliability and keeps the system clean. Its lack of stretch makes it suitable for use in high-performance applications for precision positioning. Coatings, plating or laminates can be combined with perforations or attachments.
