Graphalloy self-lubricating bearings and bushings provide long life and maintenance-free operation in high-temperature fluids, and in applications where washdown or steam cleaning is required or transient run-dry conditions exist. The graphite/metal alloy does not swell when submerged or deform under load, and it retains close operating tolerances regardless of temperature changes. Suitable for steam seals, sump pumps, skimmers, deep well pumps and water treatment facilities, the alloy does not require grease or oil lubrication that can wash away and contaminate product in food or pharmaceutical applications. It provides trouble-free operation in salt water, chlorine, acids, cleaning fluids, alkalis, etc.
