Encapsulated transformers offer mechanical and insulation advantages over non-encapsulated transformers, including enhanced mechanical strength, improved shock/vibration and humidity/moisture resistance and better insulation reliability, thanks to the use of epoxy in place of tape/paper insulation. They have reduced winding temperature differential and may be used in higher ambient temperature environments. Available from 0.08 VA to 150 VA, Transera’s epoxy encapsulated transformers come in three formats — low-profile, print-line and the compact mini-line series — to fit different space and installation requirements. They are designed for a wide range of applications, such as circuit boards, HVAC systems, appliances and metering.
