Communication Cards Enhance Adjustable Speed Drives

The SSD Drives Division of Parker Hannifin has released two communication option cards for its AC890 and AC890PX adjustable speed drives. Users can choose from seven protocols, including Ethernet/IP and Modbus/TCP cards. Easily installed into an option slot, the cards can be configured with DSE Lite software. They are compatible with AC890 firmware version 3.2 and later; existing drives can be updated with current firmware by free download. Updated versions of DSE Lite, DSE890 and DSD software add support for the cards, as well as FireWire 1394B, and compatibility with Microsoft Windows Vista.
