Wolseley Canada donates portion of sales to clean water initiatives

March 5, 2024 | By Maryam Farag

To celebrate World Plumbing Day on March 11, 2024, and World Water Day on March 22, Wolseley Canada announces a portion of all sales from PROFLO products will be donated to Water First, an organization dedicated to working collaboratively with Indigenous communities in Canada to address water challenges through education and training.

This campaign kicked off on March 1 and runs until March 31, 2024.

Wolseley Canada wants to help drive awareness with customers, vendors and partners about the complex water challenges faced by many Indigenous communities in Canada. Currently, 21 per cent of First Nations communities in Ontario are under a drinking water advisory.

“World Plumbing Day is the perfect opportunity to highlight such an important cause,” said Shawn Hulshof, Vice-President, Category Management, Wolseley Canada. “Wolseley is proud to support clean water initiatives and partner with Water First, Canada’s leading charitable organization working to resolve local water challenges.”

Wolseley plans to donate proceeds from PROFLO sales throughout the month of March, up to a total of $10,000 to Water First.

By supporting the Water First organization, Wolseley is investing in technical skills training to support Indigenous communities to complete water quality studies and restoration projects to strengthen fisheries and improve water quality.
