Digger Derrick Safety Manual content reflects current industry practices.
Milwaukee – The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) has updated its Digger Derrick Safety Manual with new and expanded content on safe equipment operation, start-up and shutdown and maintenance precautions.
The AEM Digger Derrick Safety Manual features key terms for calculating load capacities when using a digger derrick for lifting operations. Information on lifting, pole setting and digging operation as well as personnel platform safety is included. Updated safety symbols and pictograms and a cleaner format enhance the safety messages.
AEM safety manuals are industry consensus documents written in a clear and concise, well-illustrated and easy-to-understand format to supplement but not replace manufacturer manuals.
AEM manufacturer members working through the association’s Manufacturers of Aerial Devices and Digger Derricks Council (MADDDC) Engineering Committee provided content development and review.
