Variable frequency drive gets power boost

Lenze-AC Tech has released the higher-power, enhanced SM-Vector NEMA 1 drive. With the power range now extending to 30hp, this enclosed variable frequency drive is suitable in traditional applications as well as environments where inverter technology was once considered too costly. The increased capabilities include an additional programmable digital input, terminals for RS485 communications and an enhanced keypad. The drive includes four modes of operation, plus high starting torque, auto-tuning, advanced low-speed control and dynamic speed regulation. Input voltage ranges from 120 VAC, one-phase, to 600 VAC, three phase. The electronic programming module is a removable chip that allows a customer to program multiple drives in seconds. Leeson Canada
