Cortec VpCI-148 is a protective packaging paper for ferrous and non-ferrous metals. It provides corrosion protection on one side and resistance to grease, oil, and solvents on the other. It is available in custom wide sizes and offers a degree of natural cushioning.

As paper, it is sourced from renewable materials. It uses a water-based coating for grease resistance and it is non-hazardous and free of fluorochemicals, nitrites, phosphates, silicones, chromates, and other heavy metals.

Because of its oil and grease resistance, VpCI-148 paper is used for protecting bearings and other metal parts that require lubrication or cannot be cleaned from residual process oils before packaging. VpCI-148 protects against humidity, SO2, H2S, and galvanic corrosion from dissimilar metals. Possible uses include single item packaging, and interleaving, lining, or separating multiple metal parts.
