Irisys has introduced additional models to supplement its IRI-4010 multi-purpose thermal imager. The IRI-4040 imager is equipped with a narrow angle lens for measuring temperatures of small objects over long distances. It is suited for use in the power utilities industries for the inspection of substation and overhead distribution and transmission lines. IRI-4030 is a higher-temperature model, offering readings ranging from 200C to 900C, that is suited for use in industries using kilns, ovens, etc. A lower-resolution model with 16-by- 16-pixel resolution, IRI-1010 does not store data and targets spot infrared thermometer users such as HVAC service companies, electrical service contractors and refrigeration technicians. Model IRI- 1020 has the same features as the IRI- 1010, and in addition can save images. Tubefit
