Designed for long-term, trouble-free operation, the compact Nord Gear screw conveyor drive comprises a gearmotor (or speed reducer), cross-drilled two-hole drive shaft and waste pack seal assembly with seal packing material, and comes ready to bolt up to a standard CEMA dimensioned trough end. The drive’s Autovent breather allows the gear case to normalize pressure during heat-up and cool-down cycles without lubrication contamination. The Unicase one-piece housing, made from SAE 30 cast iron, stabilizes shaft centres without leakage. Wide ratio selections for each case size deliver exact output speeds. Periodic lubricant change is the only ongoing maintenance required.
