The Promass Q 300/500, coriolis flowmeter series from Endress+Hauser has four-tube technology and is available in three larger pipe sizes.
Compared to Coriolis flowmeters with two measuring tubes, four-tube measurement allows up to 25 per cent higher flow rates. It reduces standstill times for loading and unloading oil tankers, resulting in lower charges. The reduced pressure loss avoids unwanted cavitation effects or gas breakout.
