Designed primarily for use by system integrators, the Sprint Electric programmable logic arithmetic unit(PLA) with extended functionalities for diverse applications and motion tasks is a stand-alone applications module that can complement and enhance any analogue or digital drive system, simplify system design and reduce or eliminate the need for PLC-or PC-based systems. Standard application blocks include diameter calculator, taper tension calculator, torque compensation for inertia and friction, motorized pot simulator with power loss memory, two high-performance PIDs with gain profiling, and more. All source and target parameters are described in English or selectable other languages. The PLA measures 289 mm by 216 mm by 110 mm and includes the company’s PL Pilot configuration and monitoring software, plus PC to PLA programming lead. MDA Controls
