Pressurex, from Sensor Products, is a thin, flexible mylar film that instantly captures and permanently records pressure distribution and magnitude between two mating or contacting surfaces. Useful for manufacturing process control and machine/component inspection, it is suitable for many applications, including surface contact inconsistencies in gaskets, clamps, bolted joints, connectors, heat sinks, heat sealing elements, clutch and brake assemblies, and more. The film measures pressure from 0.14 kg/cm2 to 3,000 kg/cm2 (2 psi to 43,200 psi) and, when placed between two contacting surfaces, changes colour proportional to the actual pressure applied. Pressure magnitude is easily determined by comparing the resultant colour intensity to a colour correlation chart. The sheet can be cut to size and can conform to curvaceous surfaces. Sensor Products
