The Land Fibroptic model FG non-contact fibre optic thermometer can be used in situations where temperatures of the plant or a product on the manufacturing line need to be monitored but the critical points are hard to reach or the temperatures apparently too high to measure. Designed for temperatures from 980C to 1,650C, the thermometer has a rugged, compact heat-sensing head that can be placed sufficiently close to the target spot to take an accurate reading. The processing unit is located well away from the heat source. Applications include glass and ceramics manufacture, mineral processing, induction heating and welding.
