Wildfox Introduces Fall 2015 Collection with Model Presentation in NYC’s Little Italy

By PRN NewsWire

NEW YORK, March 31, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — On Thursday, March 26(th), WILDFOX Creative Director Kimberley Gordon presented the label’s Fall 2015 collection, La Dolce Vita, inspired by the idea of escaping winter for a vacation along Italy’s Amalfi coast. The brand transformed the garden dining room of Il Cortile restaurant, located in New York City’s Little Italy, into a set where 22 models displayed looks in categories titled ‘Il Pastello’ (Pastel Gelato Girls), ‘Cameriera’ (Restaurant Girls), and ‘Vingeto’ (Vineyard Girls), while the female group Tre Bella sang classic Italian songs. Beauty looks captured the iconic 60s Sophia Loren, with hair by Jorge Luis for Cutler Soho and makeup by Vincent Longo.

Guests enjoyed music by The Misshapes, a Photo Booth station with Italian speech bubble props, and wine tasting with Marissa A. Ross, featuring Riunite Lambrusco, Aia Vecchia Lagone Toscana Rosso, and Tomaiolo Chianti Classico Riserva. Also on the menu were classic Italian cocktails served up courtesy of SVEDKA vodka, Peroni beer, hors d’oeuvres such as mini meatballs, calzones, and pizza from Il Cortile’s menu were passed throughout the evening, and for dessert, Mister Krisp provided rice krispy “pizzas.”

Wildfox’s Fall 2015 collection is inspired by the idea of escaping winter for a vacation in Italy to spend long, leisurely days painting and exploring the sights, swimming in the sea, and riding Vespas along the breathtaking Amalfi coast.

Creative Director, Kimberley Gordon, says, “I kept feeling like I didn’t want summer to end. I’d been looking through Slim Aarons’ “La Dolce Vita” and I wanted to slip inside the book and onto the lounge chairs. When you start designing for fall, it’s fun because you can play with knits and jackets, but I find it hard to have to get so dark and cold with colors! I thought about where you could be that fall could feel like a continuation of summer…a permanent vacation.”

The collection will be available starting in July at the brand’s Sunset Plaza flagship store in Los Angeles, as well as online at, and select specialty and department stores worldwide. Prices range from $55-$218 for knit tanks, tees, sweatshirts, pants, and dresses, $98-198 for sweaters, $154-$220 for woven tops, jackets and bottoms, $128-$158 for denim jeans, skirts, dungarees and dresses, and $28-$148 for intimates.
