AUSTIN, Texas

VORAGO Technologies, the leading provider of radiation and extreme heat-hardened embedded systems technology, today announced it has appointed Kevin Klein as its Vice President and General Manager of Products and Licensing. Klein will drive VORAGO’s strategy to provide customers with off-the-shelf semiconductor products, as well as the ability to license its patented HARDSIL® technology. In addition, he will lead the company’s product management, product marketing, and technical marketing activities.

“Bringing Kevin on board is a key step toward realizing VORAGO’s dual-pronged strategy of delivering cutting-edge products and the ability to license HARDSIL, the secret sauce behind our extreme temperature and radiation hardening solutions,” said Bernd Lienhard, chief executive officer of VORAGO Technologies. “His expansive knowledge of product management and licensing will help us broaden our reach, and provide customers with the choice of using VORAGO semiconductor products in their applications or licensing our technology to create their own hardened products.”

With over 30 years in the Semiconductor field, Klein’s diverse experience ranges from engineering and R&D through product development, to marketing, licensing and finance. Kevin most recently held senior positions at Freescale Semiconductor, driving financial analysis of the company’s product portfolio, its IP licensing and strategy, and its microcontroller portfolio.
