UQM Technologies Receives Increased Orders from Zenith Motors for PowerPhase Pro® 135 Electric Motor Systems for the Medium Duty Truck Delivery Market

LONGMONT, Colo.

UQM Technologies Inc. (NYSE MKT: UQM) today announced that Zenith Motors, LLC has received increased customer orders for their Zenith delivery vehicles that are powered by the UQM PowerPhase Pro^® 135 technology.

The Zenith Electric Shuttle and Cargo Vans are 100% electric. These electric vans can travel up to 60 miles per hour with a range from 90 to 120 miles per charge (depending on the battery options chosen). The van can fully charge in 6.5 hours, or with an upgraded onboard battery charger can reduce this time to 4 hours. The shuttle van seats up to 11 passengers, while the cargo van sports a payload capacity of 3,000 lbs. Zenith Electric vans are saving fleet operators an estimated $100,000 over 300,000 miles.

The UQM PowerPhase Pro 135 is the UQM Technologies’ vehicle electrification product which provides a peak torque of 340 Nm, peak power of 135 kW and 60 kW of continuous power. UQM also offers production-ready PowerPhase HD^® automotive systems for heavier commercial vehicle and electric bus applications.
