Top Toyota Leaders to Speak at Pepperdine Graziadio Business School Event in Dallas

Pepperdine University Graziadio School of Business and Management will host a special networking event in Dallas on November 5 featuring two top Toyota executives who will provide an inside look at the company’s corporate headquarters move from California to Texas. The event, hosted in partnership with the Dallas Business Club, is an opportunity for Pepperdine alumni and local business leaders to meet personally with Toyota executives and hear about what opportunities the company is now seeking.

Zack Hicks (’97), Toyota’s chief information officer and Pepperdine alumnus, and Mac Ghurani, corporate manager of HR Delivery and Operational Excellence at Toyota Financial Services, will discuss the career and business opportunities Toyota will bring to the greater Dallas community. Attendees will learn about the specific talent and services Toyota is seeking, the business units that are relocating, the reasons the Plano location was selected, and the challenges the company faced in a cross-country move.

Smith, dean of the Graziadio School. “Toyota has a large and important footprint, and the company’s relocation to Texas will have a significant impact on the Dallas economy.”

The networking event and panel discussion will be held on Thursday, Nov. 5,from 6:30 to 8:30 PM at the Westin Galleria Dallas, Room San Antonio 2, in Dallas, Texas. The Graziadio School recently launched an EMBA program in Texas. The intensive 19-month program is designed to fit the strategic needs of busy mid- and senior-level executives from the greater Dallas-Plano region. The unique program incorporates real-life case studies into an applied strategic plan, often utilizing the student’s own companies. The inaugural cohort program will be located at the Plano Marriott, Legacy Town Center, and begin in January of 2016. Classes will occur once every three weeks on Fridays and Saturdays.
