BLOOMINGDALE, Ill.

PCTEL, Inc. (NASDAQ:PCTI), a leader in Performance Critical Telecom solutions, announced that Sumeet Paul, who led PCTEL’s development of its industry leading connectivity manager, is returning to PCTEL to lead its SeeHawk™ Analytics Operation. SeeHawk Analytics is PCTEL’s cloud-based data solution for wireless network performance engineering and customer experience management. Its Network Analytics, Subscriber Analytics, Map Analytics, and Business Intelligence modules work together to transform multi-source data into actionable information.

Mr. Paul recently served as the Chief Software Architect for Connected Devices at Synchronoss Technologies. In that capacity, Mr. Paul developed solutions that enabled quick and easy setup of new telecom devices and the transfer of content from one device to another without the need for cables or cloud-based infrastructure. Synchronoss had previously acquired the venture-backed Sapience Knowledge Systems, Inc., which he co-founded with Biju Nair. Earlier in his career, he led the development effort for OPAS, the industry’s earliest post-processing tool for drive test data.

“SeeHawk Analytics reflects PCTEL’s unique expertise in wireless network design, testing, and optimization,” said David Neumann PCTEL’s Senior Vice President and General Manager, RF Solutions. “Sumeet brings to PCTEL the development and market leadership that we require to transform PCTEL into a global provider of cloud-based solutions for network performance engineering and customer experience management. We are delighted to have Sumeet on our team,” added Neumann.

“I’m excited to be re-joining PCTEL,” said Sumeet Paul, PCTEL’s new Vice President and GM, SeeHawk Analytics. “I look forward to being part of the team and to the opportunity to develop PCTEL’s presence in Data Analytics and help the industry resolve network and customer experience issues with sophisticated data analytics and exceptional information,” added Paul.

Sumeet left PCTEL in 2008 when Smith Micro acquired PCTEL’s Mobility Solutions Group (MSG) for approximately $65 million. At that time, MSG generated approximately $10 million in annual revenue.
