SolomonEdwards, a privately held professional services firm, today announces the hiring of additional team members. A strategic investment has been made to bolster the SolomonEdwards business consulting team in Chicago to meet client needs, exceed expectations, and ensure the delivery of services consistently measure up to the firm’s national standards of excellence.

SolomonEdwards has been in the Chicagoland market since 2005 serving clients large and small to fulfill their critical business initiatives. The firm provides services under three divisions; business consulting, interim resources, and professional search.

Noting an upswing in client demand around its core consulting services of business transformation, accounting and finance, governance and regulatory compliance, and mergers and acquisitions, Founder, President and CEO Edward Baumstein stated, “We are excited to make this commitment of resources to the Chicago marketplace and our clients. Recent additions to the rapidly expanding Chicago team include leadership in banking, transactions and regulatory compliance, IT audit, project management, and business development to support continued growth. The team proudly adds the following professionals:

Ed Quinn, Director

Ed is a CPA who brings 20 years of combined corporate, public accounting and consulting experience to SolomonEdwards. As a Director in the national Transaction & Regulatory Advisory Services practice, his primary responsibility is to advise private equity firms and their portfolio companies on transactions-based initiatives. He has expertise in U.S. GAAP, restructuring, financial reporting and transaction services. Prior to joining SolomonEdwards, Ed served as a Senior Manager in Deloitte Financial Advisory Services’ Corporate Restructuring Group practice. He received an MBA in Finance and Economics from the University of Chicago.

Jeff Schulze, Principal

Jeff is a financial services subject matter expert with over 35 years of global business experience. As Principal, he will help grow the Chicago office by leveraging his background in operational and IT strategy, operational risk management, business process improvement in financial and cost management, business intelligence/data warehousing and shared/managed services. Prior to joining SolomonEdwards, Jeff was an executive consultant and managed IT, operations strategy and performance improvement initiatives for U.S.-based clients. Jeff was Vice President/Director of Deposit Operations at BMO and he gained extensive international experience at HSBC, where he served as Group Chief of Staff for IT & Operations in London, England.

John Bonaguro, Principal

John is a CPA with in-depth experience in financial management, international clients, transactions, and consulting. He specializes in financial modeling, reporting and due diligence. As a Principal, John will be responsible for serving financial, accounting and transaction-based advisory clients. Prior to joining SolomonEdwards, John served as a Senior Manager at Riveron Consulting, managing buy- and sell-side transactions for middle-market private equity funds and their portfolio companies. He began his career at Andersen LLP and Accenture.

Mandy Mitchell, Senior Manager

Mandy brings 15 years of project management experience in financial planning and modeling, budgeting and analysis, controllership and enterprise-wide process improvements across multiple industries. She has specific expertise in operational and capital budgeting, forecasting, database mining and analysis, risk and cyber security vulnerability assessment remediation and support, strategic planning and corporate governance. As Senior Manager, she will oversee multiple client engagements with their accounting, budgeting, risk assessment and IT process improvements. Prior to joining SolomonEdwards, Mandy served as a finance and operations consultant for several Consumer Packaged Goods companies, including CDW, Kraft, Discover and Abbott Laboratories.

Jamie Binder, Senior Manager

Jamie is a CPA with deep expertise in financial statement preparation, budgeting, strategic planning, forecasting, profit management, cash flow, capital investment, compensation, pricing, modeling, SEC reporting, acquisitions and audits in both the public and private sectors. As a Senior Manager with SolomonEdwards’ national Transaction & Regulatory Advisory Services practice, Jamie will provide clients with strategic solutions in mergers and acquisitions and private equity investments with a specific focus in due diligence, transaction accounting and reporting, integration and assisting portfolio companies with enhancing their financial planning and analysis capabilities.

Patrick Rutherford, Senior Consultant

Patrick brings nearly 15years of finance experience with a background in IT financial management, reporting and analysis, and financial system implementation. He has strong technical expertise in business intelligence design, development and solution implementation across various platforms. As a Senior Consultant, Patrick will architect and implement custom Enterprise Performance Management solutions for clients using cloud-based SaaS tools. Prior to joining SolomonEdwards, Patrick held significant roles at the Bradford Hammacher Group and Zurich Insurance. He is certified by Adaptive Insights in Planning and Reporting.

Audrey Rieland, VP of Business Development

Audrey is an experienced sales professional with over 20 years of business development and consulting experience for enterprise and mid-market clients. She specializes in selling managed services and SaaS solutions to a variety of industries, including manufacturing, consumer products, financial institutions and pharmaceutical. Audrey has served in senior-level Account Executive roles for both JPMorgan and BMO/Harris Bank, focusing on treasury and cash management sales to Fortune 1000 companies.

Karen Kindt, VP of Business Development

As a Business Development executive, Karen manages strategic accounts for business advisory clients in the greater Chicagoland area. Prior to SolomonEdwards, Karen worked her own consulting practice for over 12 years, selling and delivering sales and marketing strategies. Karen began her business development career at Xerox.

Anthony Brindise, VP of Business Development

As a Business Development executive, Anthony manages strategic accounts for business advisory clients in the greater Chicagoland area focusing on the manufacturing and industrial products sector. Prior to joining SolomonEdwards, Anthony spent many years providing managed services to Fortune 1000 companies in the Midwest. Most recently, he served as a Global Managed Services Specialist for Ricoh Americas Corporation.
