Smiths Detection Inc. Receives $41M Follow-On Order from DNDO for Handheld Radioisotope Identifiers

Smiths Detection Inc. (SDI) today announces a new task order award of $40.9 million for its RadSeeker handheld radioisotope detector and identifier under its single award indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract with the DHS Domestic Nuclear Detection Office (DNDO).

RadSeeker is a next-generation, self-stabilizing, accurate radiation detection and identification system. The handheld device detects, helps locate, and identifies the source of radiological material, and is used by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), emergency responders and law enforcement agents around the world.
