Semtech Corporation (Nasdaq: SMTC), a leading supplier of analog and mixed-signal semiconductors, today announced that Convergent Design, a leading supplier of high-performance monitoring and recording products for the production and broadcast industries, has adopted Semtech’s GS6140 6G ultra-low power, multi-rate, UHD-SDI adaptive cable equalizer and GS6080 6G low power, multi-rate, UHD-SDI cable driver for its new Odyssey 7Q+ monitor/recorder product.

These new platforms, in addition to offering ultra-low power consumption, feature best in class performance at all supported rates.

GS6140 – 6G multi-rate UHD-SDI adaptive cable equalizer. The GS6140 is the industry’s lowest power 6G adaptive cable equalizer. In addition, the GS6140 has industry leading cable reach at 6G while still offering best in class performance at all lower rates.
GS6080 – 6G multi-rate UHD-SDI cable driver. The GS6080, in addition to offering low power operation, features best in class performance at 6G and all lower rates.
