Sea-Land Chemical Company Hires Jennifer Altstadt as Director of Marketing and Strategic Planning

WESTLAKE, Ohio

Sea-Land Chemical Co., a 100-percent employee-owned specialty chemical distributor, has hired Jennifer Altstadt as Director of Marketing and Strategic Planning. Altstadt is a highly seasoned executive who brings more than 25 years of experience developing profitable and sustainable growth for companies in the packaging, plastics, medical devices, instrumentation and industrial controls industries.

Altstadt’s role with Sea-Land Chemical includes new product campaigns, advertising, pricing and other support for the company’s sales force. She will also be taking ownership of the company’s strategic planning process, which is critical to the firm’s long term growth.

Prior to joining Sea-Land Chemical Co., Altstadt served in a variety of leadership roles including president, general manager and unit director of Libra Industries, a privately held electronics-manufacturing services company.

From 2003 to 2013, Altstadt led a turnaround of Weatherchem Corporation a manufacturer and marketer of dispensing closures and controlled access packaging. She led the process of developing new products, personnel, branding and management systems, rejuvenating the company’s flagging sales and declining profits.
