TAMPA, Fla.

(TSX-V:SDZ) (OTCBB:SDEV) Security Devices International Inc. (“SDI” or “the Company”) today announced that it has been awarded a solicitation-bid contract or Agency Request for Quotation (ARFQ) for a State-Wide use of its products.

The order included the Company’s Blunt Impact Projectiles (BIP), as well as two forms of its payload projectile technology.

This formal government contract marks a significant milestone for the Company in winning a State bid ahead of the incumbent competitors, in this sector.

The State Correctional Agency had put SDI’s products through their extensive testing protocols, ensuring that the short and long distance safety specifications were met, as well as consistent product accuracy. An impact munitions training package featuring SDI’s full product line will be provided by the Company to the agency’s end-user instructors.

Company President Gregory Sullivan commented, “This is a key breakthrough into the correctional services sector within the United States, for SDI. The Company targeted this segment of the market and was chosen as a superior alternative to their existing munitions and less lethal alternatives”.
