The combined firms will now serve clients nationally from 13 offices across the United States. KLG will now be known as KLG Salas O’Brien.

The new business combination will have over 250 professionals and 65 registered professionals. Salas O’Brien is a leading Engineering News Record (ENR) 500 facilities design firm with a focus on critical environments including Telecommunications, Data Centers and Hospitals, Higher Education, Government, K-12, Clean Energy, Retail, Hospitality and Commercial facilities.

Danny Lundstrom, President of KLG, said, “Joining the Salas O’Brien team was an easy choice for me and our team. Both of our organizations share a long history of outstanding work and success, but more importantly, our leaders share the same values, passion for the business and vision for the future. This combination brings more opportunity for our team members and enhanced delivery for our clients. I couldn’t be more excited.”

“We are excited to have Danny, Robert Zendejas and Steve Adams as new shareholders and leaders in the Salas O’Brien family,” said Salas O’Brien CEO Darin Anderson. “Adding the KLG team further propels our organization to greater heights. These leaders have a distinguished history of engineering significant projects in Atlanta, the South and across the country. Joining together reinforces our ability to better serve both KLG and Salas O’Brien national clients.”

KLG will join long-term friends and colleagues at HESM Salas O’Brien in Atlanta to create one of the strongest and largest MEP firms in Atlanta. HESM Salas O’Brien’s Stan Everett, Managing Principal, was instrumental in bringing the two firms together. “Danny and I have been great friends and colleagues since we started our careers many years ago at the same firm. We have an amazing group of committed Principals, Shareholders and team members. Our future is definitely bright. We will continue to make and deliver decisions locally with the same authority as we previously did, now we just have additional depth, skills and support. This will be beneficial for our clients,” says Everett.

Salas O’Brien, KLG and HESM&A were each founded over 25 years ago and have a long history of outstanding design work. All of the KLG shareholders will now be shareholders of the combined organization.
