MCLEAN, Va.

NASA awarded Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) a $485 million contract to provide all services necessary to operate the NASA Enterprise Applications Competency Center (NEACC) located at Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama. Under the Enterprise Applications Service Technologies (EAST) 2 contract, SAIC will provide services to operate, maintain, and enhance key business and mission-supporting platforms, applications and infrastructure used across the agency.

“We are honored to have been selected by NASA to continue to deliver these mission-critical services to the NEACC. This award is a testament to the excellent work performed by our team and builds upon our extensive history supporting NASA,” said Bob Genter, SAIC senior vice president and general manager of the Federal Civilian Customer Group. “We are proud to support an agency that inspires our nation as pioneers for the future in space exploration, scientific discovery, and aeronautics research.”

EAST 2 is a cost-plus performance-fee contract spanning eight years with a potential value of $485 million, if all options are exercised. The contract has a two-year base period of performance, a two-year option, a one-year option, and three one-year award term options. Included in the award is an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity feature to provide application service support to additional NASA centers. The period of performance will begin Feb. 1 with a potential end date of March 31, 2024.

The EAST 2 contract will be administered by the NASA Shared Services Center (NSSC) at the agency’s Stennis Space Center in Mississippi. The NSSC performs selected business activities for all NASA centers.
