Rue La La has partnered with four charities and encouraged its’ Members to give back through the #GivingTuesday initiative. The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, Dress for Success, Habitat for Humanity and Toys for Tots will each receive a minimum donation of $10,000-for a total donation by Rue La La of at least $40,000.

“Philanthropy is very important at Rue. Associates visit a local shelter monthly, time off to volunteer is given to each Associate annually, and net proceeds from Boutiques are given to a variety of charities and philanthropic endeavors frequently. During this time of year especially, we wanted to stretch outside of our four walls and make it easy for our Members to contribute to phenomenal charities. #GivingTuesday is the perfect initiative to let our Members in on the opportunity and give back with us.” – Steve Davis, CEO, Rue La La

The #GivingTuesday: Gifts That Give Back Boutiques will begin at 8AM on December 1 and will be live for 24 hours. From these boutiques a minimum of $10,000 will go to each charity. Those curious to learn more or eager to support on their own will be directed to the websites of each charity.

“The success of #GivingTuesday is built on the generosity and creativity of the movement’s partners and participants,” said Asha Curran, Director of the Center for Innovation and Social Impact at 92Y, where #GivingTuesday was created. “Entrepreneurial brands like Rue La La are invaluable in promoting the notion that giving is a perfect partner to style, fashion and getting great deals.”
