RF IDeas Appoints Tim Collins as Chief Technology Officer

ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill.

RF IDeas, Inc., the leading innovator and manufacturer of in-building identification and access control readers, today announced the appointment of Tim Collins as Chief Technology Officer, a newly created position for the company.

Collins joins RF IDeas with more than 20 years of experience in the industry. Collins’ expertise includes strategic planning, qualitative and quantitative research, acquisitions, licensing and contracts. While in Motorola’s chief technology office, Collins participated as an associate member of Motorola Solution’s science advisory board

Collins earned his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Northern Illinois University and his master’s degree in electrical engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology. With 35 patents filed with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Collins also has authored five professional publication pieces within the engineering community.
